The Timberlake Lodge was buzzing the evening of May 7th where the 5th Annual Taste of Itasca fundraiser offered samples of wine, beer and spirits followed by the best of the best sampling of food in Itasca County to a sold out crowd. The fabulous food of the evening included Shrimp Bisque, Brisket, Pork Scallopini, Seafood Boil, Cheesy Cauliflower Soup, Barbecue Ribs, so much more...and the desserts were decadent!
The live auction brought the seasoned veterans bidding against the young crowd for some wonderful items such as a Carved Swan, Adirondack Chairs, a Progressive Dinner on Deer Lake, a Fly-In Canadian Fishing Trip and a six pack of home brew-to name a few. MC and auctioneer, Jim Cagle, kept the crowd bidding and laughing! A nice variety of raffle prizes gave everyone an opporunity for a chance to win.
Thank you to all who volunteered, donated, made food, poured wine and ate and drank and bid! Proceeds from the Taste of Itasca go directly to the programs of Bridges Kinship Mentoring.
